Some photographs relating to Teacher's Day & Fresher's Party have been received from the Institute photographer. The staff & students can see the photographs in the library, which have been kept with the librarian. The photographer has offered to sell these photographs at a reduced rate of Rs.8/- per photograph. The staff & students can see these photographs & purchase them, if interested, against cash payment.

URGENT/IMMEDIATE

Sub :- Special grant scheme to the students of Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribes of Engineering Colleges in the State of Punjab.

It has been informed vide Memo No.135-53 dated 15.02.2002 by the Director, Technical Education, Punjab, that the students of Engineering Colleges belonging to Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribes whose parent's income is less than Rs.24000/- per year are to be given a special grant as below :-

1. Day Scholars              Rs.125/- p.m.

2. Boarders                     Rs.250/- p.m.

The students belonging to this category having family income less than Rs.24000/- per year should apply for above special grant scheme latest by Monday 25.02.2002 on a plain paper. They should submit certificates regarding belonging to their Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribes and yearly income from the competent authority. 

It is made clear that this special grant being given to the students of Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribes categories by the State Govt. is in addition to all other benefits being provided to them earlier.
